Our NDIS participants in Bendigo have been getting out and about in our bus for Community Access exploring a range of interesting locations. Recently, some of our participants ventured to a lovely place called Loki’s Lodge in Derrinal. Loki’s Lodge is an 80-acre property dedicated to looking after small farm animals in need of a new home.
The staff at Loki’s Lodge were very welcoming and pleased to show our participants around.
The experience provided our participants with an experiential education on animal suffering and cruelty within the agricultural industry.
We look forward to developing an ongoing working relationship with Loki’s Lodge with the future possibility of NDIS participants doing some volunteer work if they are interested.
